Rich, I appreciate your positive comments about the book and about us.

I also acknowledge your full disclosure because we are indeed all in it together and like it or not, we are all connected to each other one way or another. Good, sincere people tend to attract other good, sincere people.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Congratulations to two packaging professionals I respect very much - Wendy and Dennis.

This book is an honest and complete view of sustainable packaging. A one-stop read for real world and actionable packaging solutions.

This book is required reading for any company with interest in sustainable packaging.

(full disclosure: Distant Village Packaging and it's sister company Pure Labels have been referenced in books edited by Wendy Jedlicka, and Wendy is a freelance packaging designer for Distant Village Packaging client projects.)

Wendy,
Thanks for the comment and correction. Much like the head coach on any sports team, a contributing editor gets more credit than they deserve when the work turns out well and more blame than they deserve when it does not.

In this case, enjoy the accolades with your team.

Thanks for the great review Dennis. One thing I super want to underscore though is the fact that this is not "my" book, but our book. There are 25 content and creative contributors that have made the book possible. It's a function of our Google-istic society that our publisher prefers to have -- a -- name be connected to an effort, to make it easier to search and find.

While it was true I was asked to write the book as "the" author, I felt if I was going to take-on that big of a task, the time was past for the cult-of-personality-green, and time to show the efforts being made by a wide range of eco-professionals -- all moving toward a common goal. One person -- can -- make a difference, but it takes all of us embracing that notion to make serious change happen. One of the core concepts in the book is to show how a variety of people each serving the same industry from different disciplines can have a part in real and positive change.

So one small correction: while it is true I wrote several chapters, plus did the detail wrangling to knit sections together, I'm really the contributing editor, not "the" author. Without the contributions of all of the contributors this book would never have happened.
