Hello Joe and thank you for visiting our blog and commenting.

I agree we still have much room for improvement in the area of making commercially viable flexible packaging products but I feel like we make progress every day. I also expect this year's Pack Expo show will introduce some new flexible packaging products that will lead us further in that direction.

Regarding the Ambassador's tea, I admit I was initially a skeptic on organic products and biodynamics in particular. However, after tasting how much more flavorful her products are, I now know biodynamics makes a difference worth seeking and purchasing.

I read with interest you interview with Carol Mosley Braun. Her company is to be commended for their unique offerings and approach to the food market an sustainability in the true sense. The sustainable packaging question is a tricky one, yes, but there have been amazing advances in product packaging and delivery that will will revolutionize the industry once price points can be managed. We face the same problem with our print publication...we use environmentially safe inks, but at this time truly recycled paper is so out of range price-wise it is not practical. We do use 10% post-consumer paper and all FSC certified. The industry is still at it's infancy understanding this "Green thing", but it is vital we continue to invest in new technology for a better and cleaner world.
