And FWIW, Montgomery County, MD, where I live,  has been collecting plastic pots with the weekly trash/recycling pickup for a couple of months now.  

This is a good thing:  my wife works part-time at a garden center and brings home quite a few written-off and/or tossed perennials for &quot;rescue.&quot;  ;-)</description>
